The European Commission expects a 4 percent growth in Hungary for 2018 and 3.2 percent for 2019
The European Commission improved its prognosis for the growth in Hungarian gross domestic product (GDP), which is expected to grow by 4 percent in 2018 and by 3.2 percent in 2019, compared to previously expected 3.7 and 3.1 percent.
The Brussels body published its preliminary summer economic forecast on Thursday, recalling that GDP grew by 4 percent last year, while growth was 2.2 in 2016 and 3.4 percent in 2015.
As noted, GDP growth in the first quarter of 2018 was 1.2 percent compared to the previous quarter. (MTI, Bajnok Artúr)
