The FMCG sector is developing fastest in the e-commerce market
It has grown by nearly a fifth and reached 41 billion forints a year in online commerce of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in Hungary Világgazdaság Online citing eMAG’s announcement. With this growth rate, the category has emerged as the fastest growing sector in the total net 425 billion HUF e-commerce market.
The e-commerce industry is expanding intensively, now accounting for 4.5 percent of total Hungarian retail sales. According to GKI Digital’s measurements, the total value of online orders in Hungary in 2018 exceeded the level of 2017 by about 17 percent – according to the information provided by the online merchant company.
At the beginning of 2019, 3.2 million people buy regularly online, which is an increase of 6.5 percent compared to last year. (vg.hu)
