The ice cream of the year: more than 80 ice creams are competing for the title

This year, the Ice Cream of the Year will be selected from more than 80 ice creams. The Szent Korona Cukrászda (Holy Crown Confectionery) in Soltvadkert will host the event on Monday. The pre-jury of the Cake of Hungary Competition will be held there as well.

Selmeczi László, co-chairmain of the Hungarian Confectioner Industry Board recalled that the ice cream contest will be held for the 18th time and for the 4th time in Soltvadkerti in the pastry shop of Szervánszky László master confectioner. This year 41 teams entered with 2-2 with ice creams. The mandatory flavor this year was the apricot – he added. (MTI)
