First fully autonomous restaurant
Mezli, a new eatery that opened in San Francisco last year, calls itself the first fully autonomous restaurant in the world. It was built by the engineers of Stanford University and the founder Alex Kolchinski told: they built the robot especially for the restaurant menu and vice versa. Mezli serves a variety of healthy Mediterranean-themed grain bowls, created by Michelin-starred Erich Minnich. As a customer, you make your selections from one of the digital screens and machines heat, mix and plate the ingredients associated with your specific order. Minutes later, the restaurant dispenses your order from a pickup window. The company plans to open 50 new Mezli restaurants in the next phase.
