Compared to the same period in 2021, the amount sold is 29.6 percent less. However, its total value is much higher, HUF 198.6 billion, which is more than double that of last year, they wrote. The AKI explained the difference with the significant increase in the price of fertilizer, as the price increase was on average threefold in an annual comparison and much higher than that of other materials used directly in agriculture.
For example, the price of plant protection agents increased by 16.7 percent and that of seeds by 18.5 percent in the first half of 2022, the price of veterinary medicinal products rose by 10.4 percent, and animal feed rose by 38.9 percent year-on-year, the summary reads.
