Food consumption also fueled the growth in retail sales
Analysts were surprised to see that the growth in food sales contributed to the dynamic growth of retail sales in November last year, which is expected to be continued this year.
According to the first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) released on Monday, the turnover of retail stores grew by 6.4 percent in November last year, compared to the data of a year before. The preliminary data show that the sales volume of industrial goods accelerated from 9.7 percent in October to 10.2 percent in November, with grocery stores increasing their turnover by 4.0 percent, while the sales of fuel stations increased by 3.7 percent.
