EU would introduce unified rules on the market of e-cigarettes
The union would lay down unified rules on the electronic cigarettes in the market. The committee proposed the strenghtening of EU regulations on tobacco products last December. This would establish new conditions for manufacturing, packaging and selling of products.
According to the European Commission’s spokesman Frederic Vincent; the e-cigarettes are covering a growing market, while the control can be very different from country to country.
– In some Member States, the e-cigarettes are sold in drugstores, in other countries in tobacco shops and there are countries where their distribution is prohibited. A unified regulation would be needed. (HírTV, Magyar Nemzet Online)
