The Artkartell campaign for Black Friday: “Invest in works of art instead of overconsumption!”
Artkartell “Invest in works of art instead of overconsumption!” is organizing an art fair in connection with Black Friday, which can be visited by those interested in Goli Park in Óbuda until November 26. The event runs alongside Black Friday, World Overconsumption Day, and pits art objects against traditional consumer goods.
According to Marcell Pátkai, head of Artkartell, works of art that provide a valuable experience are not necessarily famous or expensive, and they are not determined solely by price. As a studio and gallery operator, Artkartell works with the best of Hungarian contemporary art, including renowned artists such as Zsolt Asztalos, Róbert Batykó, József Bullás, Péter Forgács, Ember Sári, László Fe Lugossy, Márton Nemes and Zsolt Tibor, and with young talents such as Ákos Ezer, Ádám Dallos, Mónika Karándi, Dalma Makai, Péter Puklus and Ádám Ulbert.
The art historians of Artkartell are constantly monitoring the artistic life, and when compiling the material for the art fair, they specifically chose creators who, in their opinion, are still on the verge of becoming established, so their works are available at favorable prices. The works of art could be submitted not only by visual artists, but also by galleries, and all actors of the contemporary art scene were invited to participate in the event.
