Consumers older than 50 years are also online shoppers now
E-commerce is booming and this won’t change after the pandemic either. A Payment Experience Report (www.fizetesielmeny.hu) commissioned by Mastercard has revealed that 6 from 100 Hungarians order online minimum once a week, and 9 from 10 plan to stay as active online buyers as in 2020. 18-39 year old Hungarians are the biggest online shoppers, more than half of them buy online weekly. During the pandemic the proportion of online shoppers increased the most in the above-50-years age group, by 39 percent. //
