On average, Hungarian students can receive a gross hourly wage of HUF 1,763
The proportion of job opportunities looking for students in relation to the total number of advertisements in the Profession.hu database has increased. Based on the first five months of 2023, companies are most often looking for student workers in the fields of professional work, administration, assistant and office work, as well as physical, assistant and trained work.
Last year, calls for students accounted for 7.2 percent of all job opportunities activated during the first five months, and by May this year, this proportion had risen to nearly 9 percent.
Students are mostly sought after for these jobs
Companies are mostly looking for students for skilled worker positions, 18.9 percent of student job advertisements were for this type of job, the second most common field is administration, assistant and office work with 12.5 percent, and the third is the physical, assistant and trained work category with 9.3 percent .
The number of applications varies: in May, there is an outstanding activity on the part of students, which can be explained by the seasonal increase in summer job opportunities. In an annual comparison, an increase in the proportion of applications can be observed. Last year, in the period from January to May, 1.87 percent of applications were received for student work. This year, this value rose to 2.4 percent.
