Hungary’s digital payment index is above average
Mastercard measured the Digital Payment Index of Hungary for the second time this year. The Index relying on three pillars that are infrastructure, knowledge and use, shows the market’s level of development in the field of digital payment. The Index in Hungary has increased by seven points to 58 in 2021, mainly due to positive development in terms of Infrastructure and Use.
It was Croatia that performed the best, while the lowest overall score went to Serbia.
