Artisjus fees after the recession
The Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) represents the interests of hospitality businesses and regularly negotiates with the Artisjus Hungarian Bureau for the Protection of Authors’ Rights.
Today the sales turnover of bars and restaurants is still below the 2019 level, while operating costs are rising fast. In this difficult situation it is great help for owners that the music royalty fees they need to pay didn’t change in the last few years. MVI has recently sent its proposal to Artisjus for the fees in 2023: this document contains a maximum increase of 5.1% for next year, but a bigger raise is likely in 2024 because of the current high inflation rate.
At the moment Artisjus doesn’t plan to offer them new fee reduction opportunities.
