The price caps must be maintained even after April 30
On Wednesday, the vice president of the MSZP advocated maintaining the price caps after April 30.
At a press conference broadcast on his Facebook page, Lajos Korózs said in response to the latest inflation data from the Central Statistics Office (KSH) that inflation did not decrease significantly in March either, and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán withdrew the January wage increases and pension increases three times since January.
He added: the prime minister took back the increases with hyperinflation, the world champion’s VAT and the retail tax.
He recalled that the consumer price index increased by 25.2 percent over the course of one year, while pension inflation rose by an even greater amount, by 26.7 percent.
