AM: the Vasi wild pear pálinka received EU protection
On March 25, the European Commission protected the name “Vasi wild pear pálinka”, increasing the number of Hungarian geographical indications protected by the EU to 66 – the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) told MTI on Thursday.
The “Vasi wild pear pálinka” (Vasi vadkörte pálinka) is the ninth pálinka in the line after the names previously registered, which has received EU protection. Names protected so far: Pálinka, Törkölypálinka, Békés plum pálinka, Gönci peach pálinka, Kecskemét peach pálinka, Szabolcs apple pálinka, Szatmár plum pálinka, Újfehértói sgyper pálinka (MTI)
