In the spring, Hungarian agriculture proved that it can withstand even the most difficult conditions, the efforts of farmers have raised agriculture and the food industry to a strategic sector – emphasized Erdős Norbert, State Secretary for Food Chain Supervision at the SPAR Bicske Regnum Meat Factory and Training Center – according to the briefing of the Ministry published on Friday.

The Secretary of State added, according to the statement, that the actors in the food industry will ensure the food supply of the country even during the pandemic situation, for which we are grateful to them.

He reminded that in order to offset the economic effects of the coronavirus, the Ministry of Agriculture launched a 25 billion HUF support program for agricultural and food industry actors, of which 7 billion HUF was crisis management support for food processing enterprises. (MTI)
