AM State Secretary: precision production is inevitable for the competitiveness of agriculture
Farmers who want to remain competitive on the international market cannot avoid the use of data-based and precision technologies, said the Secretary of State responsible for agriculture and rural development of the Ministry of Agriculture (AM), according to the announcement of the organizers of the Prega Conference and Exhibition on Tuesday.

At the opening of the event on precision farming and agricultural digitization on Tuesday, Zsolt Feldman stated that the conditions for success in today’s conditions are producer awareness, the ability to renew, and thoughtful and responsible entrepreneurial decisions. In agriculture, production and economic issues, climate change and sustainability-related regulations must be taken into account at the same time – they wrote.
According to the announcement, the president of the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy (NAK) also sees the future of agriculture in precision farming
He added that IT tools have improved a lot in recent years, there are more and more user-friendly, decision-making solutions that can be managed via mobile applications, and producers are also more and more open to new technologies, seeing their advantages and efficiency. At the same time, he emphasized that before introducing innovations, it is worth getting informed carefully, for example, it is worth asking for the help of the consultants of the contact list kept by the chamber.

Participating agricultural company decision-makers can learn directly about the services and research results of specialists dealing with digitization in the series of programs presenting innovative ideas that are renewed every year, he said. Prega awaits visitors in Budapest for three days, the more than 800 participants can meet more than 100 speakers in 13 sections and 4 workshops. During the breaks of the lectures, you can learn about the latest developments and solutions related to the digital transition of agriculture at more than 40 exhibition stands. The main patron of the event is Minister of Agriculture István Nagy – reads the announcement.
