NAK can give a membership fee discount of up to HUF 3.5 billion
In addition to the discounts so far, the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy (NAK) will provide HUF 1 billion in membership fee discounts this year, and an expected HUF 2-2.5 billion next year, the interest representation told MTI on Wednesday.
The introduction of the discount was supported by almost 99 percent of the delegates who voted validly at NAK’s national delegate meeting, they wrote. The decision was justified by the energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, the difficult economic situation, and the extraordinary drought. The membership fees of primary producers and individual entrepreneurs are set in November, and with the discount I want to help those most in need. They added that the 2023 budget and its distribution will be decided in the spring.
Based on the decision of the delegate meeting, the membership fee system of the organization will also be transformed. NAK highlighted that the lowest and highest amount of membership fees has been unchanged for 9 years, since the establishment of NAK, but operating costs have increased significantly despite continuous improvements. The system valid from 2023 ensures proportional burden-bearing, so it will be fairer than the previous one, the announcement reads.
