They wrote: the amount of precipitation in the last ten or thirty days in a significant part of the country is below the average for many years, in large areas the precipitation deficit is between 10 and 25 millimeters. The near-surface soil layer in the central regions of the Great Plain and a significant part of the Tiszántúl and in the northern and northeastern areas of the Transdanubia is critically dry, while it contains a sufficient amount of moisture in the south, southwest and north, northeast.

Autumn crops develop two to three weeks earlier than usual

The corn plants are blooming, the autumn cabbage rape is in the phase of seed formation, and the stocks are quite sparse in many places. In most places, ryegrass and canola still find a sufficient amount of moisture in the soil during the water-demanding development phase. Sunflowers and corn are developing intensively, but in many places in the Great Plain and in the northeastern part of Transdanubia, they would require more precipitation than before. Sunny, warm weather is very favorable for acacia to bloom in the northern and northeastern part of the country.

According to the forecast, no significant precipitation is expected in the next week

The weather is expected to be mostly dry throughout the country, with temperatures corresponding to the usual for this time, with scattered showers possible on Sunday at the latest. The moisture content of the soils is decreasing throughout the country, the territorial extent of the drought will increase in the Great Plains and the northeastern part of Transdanubia.
