Ministry of Agriculture: at the forefront of the domestic food industry for more than half a century

András Tállai also spoke about how students from the Institute of Food Science of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences take an active role in the activities of the National Food Chain Safety Office every year. This year, 14 students joined the office for professional internships, eight of whom came from the institute. The State Secretary praised the fact that the Institute of Food Science and Technology is one of the leading domestic knowledge centers in the industry, which carries out educational and research activities related to the entire supply chain. It is the only higher education institution in the country whose training system covers the entire range of food engineering training and also has an independent doctoral program, he added. Ensuring a supply of food industry professionals, more than 11,000 people have received their diplomas over the past 53 years, the statement said.
