Hungary is one of the largest truffle exporters on the continent
Hungary is one of the largest truffle exporters on the continent due to the constant demand – said the Minister of Agriculture in Jászszentandrás at the opening of the Hungarian truffle cultivation day.
Nagy István explained: truffles are widespread in Hungary, but at the same time the average yield is weather-dependent, it can change significantly from year to year. The amount of summer truffles – reported by collectors to professional organizations – averaged 4-6 tons per year. (MTI)
