Developments in agriculture and the food industry picked up significantly in the first quarter, said Minister of Agriculture Nagy István.

Investments in agriculture and food have developed well

In a statement issued by the ministry on Tuesday, the minister drew attention to the 19.7 percent increase in investment in agriculture and 9.4 percent in the food industry. The expansion was mainly due to building improvements.

He explained that all this indicates that Hungarian farmers and food processors trust in the future and thus provide food for the population in the long run. (MTI)
