Chamber of Agriculture: field strawberries ripens two weeks later than usual
The wild strawberries ripen this year two weeks later. According to the overview of the National Chamber of Agriculture, the Hungarian open-air fruit will appear in large quantities in the markets and shops from the beginning of June.
In a statement sent to the MTI on Friday, the chamber wrote that this year, due to the colder spring weather and rains, the field strawberries will ripen two weeks later. The first large-scale field crop from the south of the country is expected in a few days, and then it will arrive in a few days from the northern areas. (MTI)
