It is more important for Generation Z to plan their goals on paper than for the over 45 age group
We focus better and are more successful in keeping our New Year’s resolutions if we see them on paper, according to Epson’s international, representative research. According to half of the respondents, printed motivational messages are harder to bypass than digital notifications, which is why they support our development more effectively.
Six out of ten people are more motivated to exercise by a printed picture or motivational quote than by a notification from an application. As the reason for this, the participants in Epson’s survey indicated several factors: 50 percent of them believe that paper-based messages are more noticeable, 41 percent of them help them concentrate better, and 41 percent of them say that they are harder to ignore than digital content.
23 percent of those surveyed believe that phone notifications are lost in the noise of the online space while scrolling. Interestingly, those under 25 have a greater need to be able to see their goals again on paper, thereby making them more tangible. 32 percent of respondents belonging to this age group admitted that they use some kind of paper-based motivation tool, while only 12 percent of those over 45 said the same.
