Difficulties in bottle return
Bottle return is a big problem for many bars and restaurants. László Kovács, president of the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) wrote a letter to Szilvia Szabó, president of MOHU MOL Hullgazdálkodási Zrt., with support from several important trade organisations.

In this he explains that the current system isn’t suitable for operation in the HoReCa sector. Bottles are piling up in HoReCa units and can only be returned at reverse vending machines (RVM) created for consumers: this system isn’t able to handle large quantities, as the bottles have to be dispensed one by one.
In the letter László Kovács suggests that mobile RVMs (bottle collection vehicles) should be put into use, taking away empty bottles from busy bars and restaurants. MVI would also favour the installation of mass drop-off points in downtown areas frequented by caterers, which can be reached on foot. The problem should be addressed immediately, as HoReCA establishments aren’t designed to provide sufficient space for the bottles to be collected. //
