Nearly half of the world’s executives do not expect to return to normal business before 2022, according to a recent KPMG study
Although the vast majority of company executives surveyed in 2020 predicted a definitive spread of teleworking, KPMG’s recent research, which already incorporates the lessons of the third wave of the pandemic, has been much more cautious. Only one in six company executives said they would reduce their office space and plan to employ only a fifth of their employees in telecommuting. However, two-thirds of them believe that these steps should only be on the agenda if at least half of their colleagues have already been vaccinated.
The 2021 KPMG CEO Outlook Pulse survey is a survey of key executives in key markets around the world, asking 500 executives in February and March about their three-year business and economic prospects and the key trends that determine them.
