Unilever reached higher-than-expected revenue in the second quarter
Unilever’s sales grew better than expected in the second quarter, partly due to higher prices and partly due to strong sales of ice creams and teas.
Among other things, revenue for Dove soap and Hellmann’s mayonnaise maker rose 5 percent year-over-year, compared to 4.8 percent expected by analysts.
However, in its quick report released on Thursday, the British-Dutch multinational, which manufactures consumer goods, warned that the jump in raw material costs would reduce full-year operating margins. (MTI)
