Tesco has saved 43 million doses of food in recent years
Tesco has launched its food saving program in more than 160 out of the company’s 205 Hungarian stores.
From September 2014 to November 2018, the supermarket chain offered more than 17,000 tons of food for charity, an amount equivalent to 43 million doses of food.
According to its strategic plans, by 2020, Tesco’s all Central European stores, and thus all Hungarian stores, will be ready to hand over the food surplus for charity.
