The bill has arrived! – an Italian bar exclaimed
As with most companies in Europe, Italy also has serious problems managing energy prices that have increased several times. From large factories to small cafes, the owners are calculating whether they should close. In the window of a restaurant with a terrace, “The bill has arrived!” the operator posted a sign indicating why the food and drinks on offer are getting more and more expensive – reports Euronews.

Many caterers see the price increase as “execution”.
Bar owner Laura Ramoni says she also displayed a hanging doll next to the sign. After a certain level of price increases, it is no longer a question of price increases, but execution, he referred to energy prices.
The room for maneuver is different for different types of companies, but it is definitely narrowing, according to an expert. Nathalie Tocci, director of the Institute of International Affairs in Italy, explains that most now depends on what solutions business leaders find in the new situation. Where there is the narrowest or no room for maneuver, shutdowns and closures due to high prices cannot be avoided, be it the increase in the price of energy or the raw materials required for the activity. Many companies are now reaching the stage where they can no longer hide their difficulties.
The difficulties of companies can be felt not only in the increase or lack of prices of products and services, but also in the labor market and indirectly in the entire economy, the analyst added.
