KOVÁSZ: Great achievements of the next generation
The KOVÁSZ programme was halfway this summer. The contests called for by the Guild of Hungarian Confectioners provided an opportunity for the participants to present themselves before representatives of the trade.
Three talented youngsters – Dávid Drávai, Zita Szivós and Sándor Benczur – entered the Cake of Hungary contest and were rewarded.
At the baking competition of the International Eucharistic Congress young and creative colleagues involved in the KOVÁSZ programme were to present delicacies with the use of ingredients mentioned in the Bible and available in those early days. Eight KOVÁSZ participants stood the chance and three of them were admitted for the contest of ‘established’ confectioners.

The Kovász-team and their masters
The closing event of the spring season took place in Szombathely. The programme included a visit paid to the patisserie of Mr Gábor Mészáros and a presentation by Ádám Varga on how macaron is made.

Spectacular and tasty
The autumn season started with a psychological training by Kata Fülöp, who elaborated on the effects of the pandemic on communication. The training was followed by a workshop by László Rimóczi on croquant-making. On the same day, the young generation of confectioners introduced themselves at the press conference of the KOVÁSZ programme itself. //
