A Stora Enso és a Tetra Pak támogatásával kezdi meg működését Európa egyik legjelentősebb italoskarton-újrahasznosító központja Lengyelországban
Tetra Pak and Stora Enso launched a new production line for the recycling of used beverage cartons in Poland with a joint investment of around 29 million euros. The production line will increase the country’s annual beverage carton recycling capacity from the current 25,000 tons to 75,000 tons, and will enable the full volume of beverage cartons sold in Poland, as well as additional imports from neighboring countries including the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.
In one of the most modern production units of Stora Enso, which develops and manufactures wood and biomass-based solutions for the packaging industry, among other things, in Ostrołęka (Poland), a production line responsible for the processing of beverage cartons with an annual capacity of 50ͦ000 tons was recently put into operation, which exclusively deals with the separation of the materials of these carton-based packaging: separates the paper fibers from the polymers and aluminum (polyAl) and recycles them into a material from which additional packaging can be made later. Thanks to this, the new production line effectively contributes to the material cycle.
The recycling facility also cooperates with the Czech company Plastigram Industries, which together with Tetra Pak, one of the world’s leading food processing and packaging solutions companies, is developing a solution that enables the production of recycled products made of polyAl material on an industrial scale.
