According to the Romanian Statistical Office, the price of meat products has increased, according to producers, it has decreased
There is no agreement between researchers and manufacturers. In Romania, in the first half of 2022, 16 percent more cold cuts were sold than in the same period last year, at least according to the data of the National Statistical Institute (INS), reports Maszol. According to the producers, cold meats were sold 6.2 percent less in the second quarter than a year earlier. – Maszol.ro writes.

Less meat is consumed in Romania
“Discussions with members of the association show that there is no increase in consumption. People are paying close attention to prices, consumption is falling”
Dana Tănase, managing director of the Romanian Meat Association, told Ziarul Financiar.
The position of the sectoral interest protection organization is probably more authoritative than the statistical data, since among its members there are the dominant market players: Cristim, Caroli, Aldis, Agil, Elit, Ifantis, Banat Bun, Meda, Unicarm, etc.
