On September, 06, 2013 an official opening of a new logistics centre of Raben Polska and Fresh Logistics took place. The complex is located at Pomorska 71/73 Street in Szczecin. The cost of the investment is over 11 million PLN. Raben Group employs ca. 50 people and over 70 subcontractors there.

Raben Group has opened a first Szczecin depot in 1999. In the new branch of Raben Group we offer the services of international and domestic transport, both full truck and groupage, also for products requiring controlled temperature from +2 to +6 C. Furthermore, there is also contract logistics, sea container loading and unloading.

Raben Group operates in 10 countries of Europe rendering a broad spectrum of transport and logistics services. Szczecin is an important place on the logistics map of Poland. Due to its access to sea and river ports and its geographical location which enables easy transportation of shipments to our western neighbours, it is an attractive location – comments Ewald Raben, CEO of Raben Group.

”I am very pleased with the choice of our city for a location of a logistics centre of Raben Group. Szczecin is excellently linked with the capital cities of its neighbouring countries, we also have a well-prepared team. I am convinced that this decision will soon bring tangible effects both for the company and for our city. I would like to heartily congratulate the management board of Raben Group and wish them a lot of success – summed up Piotr Krzystek, the President of Szczecin.

The new complex is equipped with:

  • A three-storey office building of the area of 715 m2,
  • A warehousing and transhipment terminal of the area of ca. 3 885 m2,
  • over 7 000 m2 of roads, parking lots for trucks and unloading ramps,
  • almost 2 000 m2 of hardened pavement in front of the docks in the transhipment terminal,
  • over 1 000 m2  of pavements and parking lots for cars.

”In the region of Szczecin there is a visible increase of economic activity which is a result of the city’s vicinity to the German border and Scandinavia. Therefore, it seems to be a necessity to develop the logistics branch in Szczecin to service shipments from the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship). Many logistics companies, not only from Poland, but also from Western Europe, open here their branches to render warehousing services. However, it is us who may boast of the most modern complex in the region. Its innovativeness translates into the quality of services and benefits for the customers as it optimizes processes and ensures even greater security of goods” – comments Janusz Anioł, General Director of Raben Polska.
