PLMA’s “World of Private Label” goes Online
PLMA’s Online “World of Private Label” will be held in place of the event originally planned to take place last May in Amsterdam.
The theme of the event, “Life is Good in Private Label”, was never more appropriate than it is now, say the show’s organisers as providing companies across Europe and beyond with tools most urgently needed to engage for new business and bring new products to the marketplace.
Own brand market intensifies
The year 2020 has demonstrated that retailers around the globe and the manufacturers supplying their own brand products have never been more essential to the well-being of consumers. Private label market share in Europe is nearly 40% or more in eight countries and with major shifts in purchasing, and supply chains under enormous stress, competition is fierce everywhere. But the opportunities for new products and expanding own-brand business remain extraordinary, because consumers will continue to turn to retailers first for value while maintaining their quality of life in these unprecedented times. Today, the need for new products, contacts and ideas is greater than ever. The crisis has made it impossible for manufacturers and retailers to meet at PLMA’s annual “World of Private Label” in Amsterdam. PLMA is filling the gap by launching the Online “World of Private Label”, to allow for manufacturers and retailers to continue business growth. Not in Amsterdam, but in the cloud, the show will be accessible from anywhere. If you wish to register as a visitor to the event, please click here.
Thematic days
In the first week of December, with each day emphasizing a specific group of food and non-food categories, PLMA‘s Online “World of Private Label” will deliver an all new virtual trade show experience supported by a powerful suite of proprietary video and business chat communication tools. The online stands of PLMA’s member manufacturers will permit buyers and suppliers to engage in live, face-to-face interactions, product demonstrations and conversations, delivered simply and conveniently to participants across all borders, as well as on all computing platforms and devices.
All category shows are open for 2 full days. Each category show opens at 00:01 on the first category show day and closes at 23:59 on the second category show day. All times are GMT+1 (Central European Time. Exhibitors will be staffing their online stands by logging in their exhibitor contacts from 09:00 – 18:00 (GMT+1).
As the show will be welcoming participants from over 75 countries, the platform is presented in English only. All exhibitor contacts will be able to indicate the languages they speak in their profile so that visitors and exhibitors can connect in the language that best suits them.
Visitor registration for verified full-time employees of companies classified to fit within PLMA’s retail/wholesale category before the show is complimentary.
