The Bakers’ Association calls for the reduction of VAT on bread
The Bakers’ Association asks to apply a reduced VAT rate on bread and bakery products – the association informed MTI on Wednesday.
They recall that in 2017, the Value Added Tax (VAT) on the dairy, egg and poultry products will be reduced, but not in the case of bread.
The communication highlighted that the association has already initiated more than two years at various ministries to reduce the VAT rate for bakery products. In their view, the bread is in the first place in the rankings within the basic food products. (MTI)
