The art of networking

The Trade Marketing Klub invited interested parties to an inspiring meeting to the terrace of the Anna Hotel. Two defining groups of the competitive sector, entrepreneurs and speakers and representatives of multinational companies in the FMCG market, met each other.

The sunny Thursday afternoon took place in a real summer-starting atmosphere. The arrivals were welcomed by the founders of the Trade Marketing Klub, Ágnes Csiby, Zsuzsanna Hermann and Ildikó Kátai. Although the speakers came from very different backgrounds and working worlds, they agreed that relationships are worth their weight in gold and can have lifelong business and even friendship outcomes.

Lifechanging Decisions

In his introduction, András Avidor, founder of BNI – Business Network International – Hungary and chairman of the BNI Global CEO Council, told how he became a fighter pilot at a young age, where he learned the importance of quick decision-making, discipline and trust between people. He built the BNI Hungarian network from scratch, which now helps thousands of entrepreneurs establish new business relationships and achieve sustainable growth. He lectures in more and more places, receives more and more international recognition, and thus became the chairman of the BNI Global CEO Council.Avidor András előad

In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of intuitions and decisions, the fate-changing and value-creating role of turning them into persistent action. He highlighted the role of giving, helping, paying attention to the environment and others, the importance of active listening, and the importance of humility in everyday relationship building.

 

Employed connections

Sándor Baja, Managing Director of Randstad Hungary Kft. Czech, Hungary, Romania, said in his introduction that he joined the consulting company specializing in recruiting highly qualified personnel in the brand-producing field after working in the local and international broadly understood FMCG industry, areas of the beer, fruit juice, and electronics sectors. Since then, Randstad has undergone numerous changes and achieved significant growth in sales and staff.

In his presentation, he mentioned that he has seen many careers develop and close, based on which he can state that connections are key factors in the development of careers. Moreover, they can be meaningful and even life-saving in a much wider context. whether it is about executive networking, career change, recognizing business opportunities, or getting to a medical specialist.

In the second part of his presentation, he pinpointed the current characteristics and challenges of the FMCG labor market and the opportunities inherent in employer branding, based on research and figures.

The speakers answered questions and touched on several sensitive topics, including national, cultural, generational and gender differences, digital and AI challenges, and existential opportunities. The conversation continued in a good mood while eating grill platters and cakes.
