National togetherness is the theme of Hungary’s Food 2020 Cooking Contest, which will be open until 5 January
Each of these dishes must consist of up to five elements and must contain three ingredients (red peppers, cottage cheese, green vegetables or green spice) which give the colors of the Hungarian tricolor. In the two-round competition, the food will be judged by a prestigious jury – Asztalos István, President of the Hungarian Association of Chefs said on Friday in Budapest.
He added: they are looking for tradition, modernity, and strangeness in these dishes. Compared to recent years, it is a novelty that now the chefs will have 3 hours instead of 4 to prepare the competition dishes. (MTI)
