Muesli is immune to the economic effects of a coronavirus pandemic
Although the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic has led to declining sales in several confectionery product categories, muesli, which has consistently shown the fastest growth with biscuits in the last two decades, is still doing well – was said at an event held by the Association of Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers.
The food industry was mainly adversely affected by the outbreak of the catering industry, the HoReCa sector, which includes hotels, restaurants and cafés, and the significant decline in exports, which account for nearly 40 percent of turnover – Dr. Felkai Beáta Olga, Head of the Food Economy and Quality Policy Department of the Ministry of Agriculture said.
