Artificial meat against climate change
The emissions of greenhouse gases from agriculture could be spectacularly reduced – experts say, if people would consume meat produced in the laboratory – agrarszektor.hu wrote. A serious portion of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions come from livestock farming, but many people skeptically accept the ideas based on “artificial meat”.
The total amount of greenhouse gases from global animal husbandry is 7.1 gigatonnes per year, accounting for 14.5 percent of greenhouse gas emissions from human activities – www.businessgreen.com wriote. Based on this, it could be a serious problem that world meat consumption is estimated to be 20 percent higher, while milk production will be 58 percent higher by 2050. (agrarszektor.hu)
