Restaurants are not deeply affected by the new non-smoking rule
The new law about the protection of non-smokes was reinforced on 1st January 2012, meaning that guests are not allowed to smoke in closed public buildings, eg restaurants, and may only have a cigarette in the open-air garden of the area. The website debreceniettermek.hu has asked a number of local warm-food restaurants only to find that there is no decrease in the revenue of the places so far, and guests obey the new rule patienrly. The only difference is that people do not order as much coffee as they did before since they used to drink coffee while smoking.
