McDonald’s spends 800 million forints in Hungary on the replacement of plastic equipment
McDonald’s in Hungary is spending 800 million forints to remove disposable plastics from its system, the restaurant chain told MTI on Thursday.
McDonald’s has pledged to replace disposable plastic packaging with wood, paper, or fiber-based tools from sustainable forest management by the end of 2021, where food safety regulations and technology allow. With this, almost 200 tons of plastic disappear every year, they said. (MTI)
