McDonald’s to remove plastic straws and paper cup covers
McDonald’s previously announced that they would only use recycled raw materials by 2020 – origo wrote. In the pursuit of this endeavor, the company completely abolishes plastic straws and paper cup covers.
McDonald’s is the biggest plastic polluter in the world, and the company wants to change it. The UK is the first to introduce disposable straws, of which only in the UK 650 million used in 1400 McDonald’s restaurants a year. It is planned that until March next year all the plastic straws will be completely replaced by paper. (origo)
