41 percent of Hungarians have no disposable income
Ominous trends emerge from the latest representative research by Generali Biztosító, which deals with the general awareness of the domestic population aged 18-65, as well as their savings and expectations related to retirement years.
In addition, since a similar survey was also conducted in 2021, the ever-growing pessimism among the population is even more pressing, because in the course of 12 months, the income opportunities and future prospects of Hungarians have deteriorated significantly. 41% of the respondents do not have any monthly set aside amount at all, but the proportion of those who have a maximum of HUF 20,000 (from 23% to 18%) and HUF 20,001-50,000 (from 18% to 15%) has also decreased ) can save. Examining the other side of the coin, however, it is immediately apparent that the income differences in our country are getting bigger and bigger: the number of farmers with an extra monthly amount of more than HUF 150,000 has even increased compared to last year’s results.
