Hungarian agriculture is sustainable
Hungarian agriculture is sustainable, thanks to innovative enterprises that work to create a circular economy through their developments – said Minister of Agriculture István Nagy on Friday at the handover of the drip and irrigation pipe production equipment of Green Technology Kft. in Lébény, Győr-Moson-Sopron county.
The head of the ministry emphasized that every single plastic product and tool used in agriculture that goes to Green Technology Kft. is no longer waste, but the raw material for recycling, so it can be used again. Plastic tools that are no longer used do not damage the environment. István Nagy emphasized that it was a good decision to support the establishment of a collection network for the collection of agricultural films. The next objective is to install agglomerating machines next to the collection points of the network, he said, adding that in this way the finished agglomerate only needs to be transported to the product processing locations, which would also serve a sustainable future due to less harmful emissions. The Minister of Agriculture said about Green Technology Kft. in Lébény that the company’s developments are important milestones for Hungarian agriculture. He added: in the production of new products, they also count on the opinions of farmers as to what they need most.
