The mitigation of the Russian meat ban is urging to the Hungarian meat industry
To ease the Russian meat ban is urging to the Hungarian meat industry players, who suffer significant revenue losses due to the Russian embargo – Menczel Lászlóné, Secretary of the Livestock and Meat Marketing Board and Interprofessional Organisation (VHT) told MTI on Monday.
Menczel Lászlóné added that the announcemment that the Russian meat ban may be eased in the foreseeable future may boost the demand in some EU member countries – including Hungary – which is particularly favorable because the price of live pigs decreased significantly, by about 15 percent from 420 to 350 HUF per kilogram in recent months.
