LIDL is already preparing for the season: the company is expanding its team with around 150 new employees
Lidl Hungary is already preparing for the increased summer traffic in the Balaton and Lake Velence area. The discount chain is creating around 150 new jobs so that it can serve customers at a high level during this special period. The company not only offers store employees working during the summer season a special salary, but also covers the cost of commuting to work and Lidl’s high-quality health program, and even accommodation.
Lidl Hungary gives priority to its stores located in the most popular Hungarian holiday destinations, around Lake Balaton and Lake Velence, during the summer months. In line with customer needs, it expands its range with seasonal products such as grill products, ice creams, special beers and wines, and beach equipment – contributing to a carefree and enjoyable holiday and relaxation. Due to the increasing traffic, almost 150 new jobs will be created between April 1 and August 31 in 11 Lidl stores near the lakes, so that customers receive the usual high level of service.
“In recent years, it has become a tradition for us to create new jobs in line with the increased number of customers in our seasonal stores. For seasonal employees, the company offers a premium, full-time gross salary of HUF 636,000, supplemented with supplements and a Lidl card, and – just like for all our employees – we reimburse the cost of commuting to work in excess of the legal requirement, which means 100% reimbursement in the case of public transport, and a subsidy of HUF 40/km in the case of commuting by car. In addition, colleagues working in the summer season also benefit from Lidl’s high-value health program – which includes, among other things, an extra day off that can be used for screening – and in the case of several stores, the company even provides accommodation in the June-August period”
– informed Judit Tőzsér, Head of Corporate Communications at Lidl Hungary.
