Lidl is once again the discount store chain of the year
Once again, Lidl Hungary won the title “Discount Store Chain of the Year 2022” in the “StarStore – Retailer of the Year 2022” competition. In the competition announced by Trade Magazin for the 8th time now, the jury made its decision taking into account many aspects and the results achieved and awarded the prestigious recognition to Lidl.
Trade Magazin announced the “StarStore – Retailer of the Year 2022” competition in 16 categories, in which not only individual points of sale, but also commercial chains could compete. The professional jury decided on the best shops in the country according to the overall effect, the coherence of the concept and implementation, as well as the originality and creativity. In the case of commercial chains, it was worth drawing the jury’s attention to success factors and achieved results, on the basis of which the given company stands out from the other players on the market. In its application material, Lidl Hungary presented its operation, its outstanding achievements so far and its future goals; wide, quality product range; the program supporting domestic suppliers; your employer brand; sustainability efforts and investments.
The applications were judged by a 10-member professional jury and decided on the results, and the award ceremony took place in a festive setting at the gala evening of the Business Days conference.
