The Polish Sejm adopted a law on special tax on retail
The Polish Sejm voted the bill on Wednesday on the special retail tax. The European Commission has not raised an objection against the introduction of the progressive surtax.
According to the legislation, the special tax to be introduced from September 1 will have two rates. This year, the Polish government expects 638.1 million zloty (143.8 million euro) budget revenue from the new tax. Next year, however, the government expects a gross 1.9 billion zloty (0.43 billion euros). (MTI)
