Spring frost caused damages to the cornfields
Corns also suffered frost damages in recent days in many regions. As Takács Géza, Chairman of the Seed Association Interprofessional Organization and Marketing Board said, the majority of the plants will be able to regenerate from the injuries caused by the late frost.
In recent days worrying news arrived mainly from Bács-Kiskun, Somogy, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Zala counties that the cold weather caused great harms to the vineyards and orchards. The summary of the damages is still ongoing, but it is certain that the farmers have to face a difficult season. (MTI)
