Alongside classic milk and dairy products, focus of Anuga Dairy shifts on dairy alternatives this year
The Anuga Dairy trade fair under the umbrella of Anuga is the leading trade fair for the milk and dairy industry, with around 500 companies taking part this year.
This year’s Anuga Dairy is very well positioned internationally. A total of 24 countries are represented at the fair. In addition to Germany, the top countries attending the event are Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and France. Others come from Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Dubai, Estonia, Great Britain, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine and the USA, among others.
Anuga is devoting special attention to “Dairy Alternatives,” especially in view of its guiding theme “Sustainable Growth,” that are now more strongly represented at Anuga Innovations than in previous years. Plant-based milk and cheese alternatives are not only very popular with consumers, but are also gaining in importance at Anuga Dairy. More than 80 exhibiting companies will be presenting plant-based and vegan alternatives here.
In the case of classic milk and dairy products, manufacturers are focusing primarily on new flavors such as cheese enriched with green or red pesto or high protein content, as well as the use of regional ingredients such as herbs, pasture or hay milk, and organic meadow milk.
