Trade isn’t an obstacle – it can also be a tool for sustainability
According to the Trade4SD project (led by Corvinus University of Budapest), openness to trade doesn’t preclude sustainability – as a matter of fact it can strengthen it if decision-making also takes into account the views of local communities.

The Trade4SD EU research project was led by Corvinus University of Budapest and involved experts from 10 countries to explore the link between trade and sustainability

With the participation of ten countries, the EU project has been completed from EUR 4m funding. Project leader Attila Jámbor emphasised that sustainability can only be achieved if regulation takes into account the opinions of local people.
